We here at itraxstudios.com have been recently been using Propellehead's Record on some recent productions and are amazed at the sound you get from mixing in the box.
Record's mixer is modeled after the SSL9000. We have done many of our mixes on this console and to have a virtual version is amazing. It does make a difference in sound and I
wonder if other DAW's will follow. I have been using Reason since version 1 and it has always been a part of my studio.
Using Record is a no brainer as the two programs work as one. Will this replace Pro Tools or Logic for us? No not yet. We will use it as a compositional tool while rewireing it through Logic and Pro Tools. For writing Logic and Reason is all you need. Now the audio files are embedded in each session which makes online collaboration so much easier for our clients who use Reason. I highly recommend Reason / Record.
I am also thinking of producing some original refills. Stay tuned.
